Inauguration of Krishnapatnam Print This Page

India’s premier world-class port dedicated to the nation
July 17, 2008: Set to become the preferred gateway to South East Asia, the Krishnapatnam Port was dedicated to the nation – amidst huge fanfare – by UPA Chairperson and Congress President Hon’ble Smt Sonia Gandhi, in the august presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Hon’ble Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

The occasion was momentous indeed as the world watched India’s maritime trade being redefined. Speaking on the occasion, Smt Sonia Gandhi said, “It (Krishnapatnam Port) is emerging as one of the fastest growing PPP ports in the country under a 50-year concession agreement with the Government of Andhra Pradesh. I am proud to say it is one of the finest examples of PPP in AP after the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad.”

Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy said, “It (Kirishnapatnam Port) would create immense employment opportunities.”

Thanking the government for its support, Chairman and Managing Director of Krishnapatnam Port, Navayuga Group’s Mr CV Rao said, “It is befitting for our Group to establish an international benchmark by developing this port with all state-of-the-art facilities in a record time of 18 months… Our vision is to make it the most sought after International Integrated Port City. The Port will herald a new era of economic activity, and dramatically transform the lifestyle of the people.”

Barh Super Thermal Power Project

With a proven track record in executing large quanta of piling,Navayugawas a favourite for winning the tender.

Navayuga is executing major civil works for 2 x 660 MW Super Thermal Power Project at Barh, Stage-II on EPCbasis. The value of the project is Rs.274.23 crores.

The package includes all under ground CivilWorks, Pile Foundations for Boiler, ESP, TG, Fans, BFPs, Mills, Mill & Bunker buildings, Main Power House, Piling for Chimney, Piling for bottom ash hopper and FAE Tower,Transformer yard, other equipment/ structures inTG/ boiler area.

Transformer yard, main plant building, mill & bunker buildings, conveyor galleries and trestles, machine room, Control Room building, Compressor house, DG set buildings, ARCW pump houses, ESP control buildings, Fuel oil pump house,Water system control building, buildings in offsite, Pipe lines Roads, drains, sewerage and paving.

Koderma Thermal Power Station, Jharkhand

Navayuga is executing major works for 2x500 MW 1 & 2 Units at Koderma Thermal Power Station at Jharkhand for BHEL on Turnkey basis with a cost of Rs.364.87 crores.

The major work involves Civil, Structural & Architectural works for plant area, Superstructure civil works, Foundations, Conveyor galleries, Boiler, ESP, Transformer yard; paving, fire water pump house; DG building; rail track, storage tanks & pump house; dyke and pump house; pipe lines, ESP control rooms; compressor houses.

Administration building, Auditorium; Control building; roads, drains; sewerage, watch towers; dozer shed; auto base and other misc foundations/ structures etc.

PortKPCL’s ship comes in!

The crown feather of the Navayuga Group, KPCL, is extremely happy to report that its first vessel MV Frauke came in on April 12, 2008. The ship is 160 mtrs long, and commenced discharge on 18th of April, 2008. It was carrying project cargo (in short 2 nos of Mobile Harbor cranes for our jetties of Gottwald make capable of lifting 100 tons and a discharge rate of 750 tons per hour). This crane is fully computerised and is manned by a single crane operator. MV. Faruke was berthed at the jetty at 08:30 am hrs on 18th of April and sailed of on 19th of April at 08:00 am hrs.
